About Academy Of Architecture
Rachana Sansad’s Academy of Architecture, established in 1955, is one of the oldest colleges in India. It is the only privately managed, Government aided institution in the state of Maharashtra. In the year 1999, with the recommendation of the Council of Architecture (C.O.A.) and Government of Maharashtra, the Academy of Architecture converted Diploma Course in Architecture to Bachelor’s Degree Course in Architecture and is affiliating to the University of Mumbai.
Academy started off as a part time institute keeping in mind the urge of students to learn while they worked. Today, many of these students have acquired prestigious positions as distinguished architects, planners and designers through their remarkable contribution, to the built environment.
