Alkesh Dinesh Mody Institute for Financial and Management Studies was established in 1994 as a Department of the University of Mumbai, offering management education with a focus of financial services.

Alkesh Dinesh Mody Institute for Financial and Management Studies started Masters in Management Studies (MMS) program in 2002-2003 to live up to the increasing demand for Management professionals.  The Institute was set up in response to growing and acute need felt by Indian managers and investors to deal with rapidly changing business and financial environment. The courses started at the outset were a Diploma in Investment Studies and the Masters in Financial Services and Management program, which was exclusively offered by ADMI for more than half a decade.
It offers facilities like library, internet, laboratories, placements for all the candidates. The eligibilty for undergraduate courses is 10+2 pass and for post graduate courses the elibility is graduation. The admission to most of these courses is done through various entrance tests at different levels and for rest of the courses the admission is done directly.
