About Bombay Teachers’ Training College

The Bombay Teachers' Training College is situated in the bustling business district of South Mumbai, flanked by the Gateway of India and Taj Mahal Hotel. It holds its own identity in the vicinity of towering heritage landmarks. It is a hop away from the Chhattrapati Shivaji Museum, the National Gallery of Modern Art, the Jehangir Art Gallery and the Bombay Natural History Society.

The institution has dedicated itself to the service of society by educating teachers and preparing professional educators for all levels for almost four decades. Our college has been accredited "A" grade by NAAC in 2004 and is in the process of re-accreditation. The college is affiliated to the University of Mumbai and recognized by the National Council for Teacher Education. It is one of the premier institutions under the umbrella of the prestigious Hyderabad (Sind) National Collegiate Board.

Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Education
Course Detail	The college offer Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Education, it is a two to five years duration full time research programme.
Course Affilition	University of Mumbai
Admission Criteria	The candidate should have passed graduation/ bachelors degree or equivalent from any recognized university. Selection will be based as per the university norms.
Master of Arts in Education
Course Detail	The college offer Master of Arts in Education, it is a two year full time degree programme.
Course Affilition	University of Mumbai
Admission Criteria	Those who have passed the B.Ed./B.A( with Education as one of the elective papers) or equivalent degree from other university are eligible, whereas students who have passed B.P.Ed., B.Ed.Physical, B.Ed. (Spl. Edu.) etc. are not eligiblefor admission.
Diploma in Teacher Education (D.T.Ed)
Course Detail	The college offer Diploma in Teacher Education (D.T.Ed), it is a two year full time degree programme.
Course Affilition	University of Mumbai
Admission Criteria	Admission procedure for the course is centralized and is conducted by the MSCERT.
Diploma In Early Childhood Care & Education
Course Detail	The college offer Diploma In Early Childhood Care & Education, it is a one year full time degree programme.
Course Affilition	University of Mumbai
Admission Criteria	Candidates with H.S.C qualification and working teachers with genuine interest, aptitude and personality will be preferred. There will be written test and interview of all the candidates by the selection committee. Candidates will be selected on the joint performance of their academic background, test result and interview.
Bachelor of Education
Course Detail	The college offer Bachelor of Education. It is a one year full time degree programme.
Course Affilition	University of Mumbai
Admission Criteria	The candidate should have passed Graduates from any Recognized University, Agricultural University, Open University, and Deemed University in; Arts, Science, Commerce, Home Science, Agriculture Science are eligible to appear for C.E.T. and Along with the graduates, the candidates appearing for degree examinations of March/April of the academic year from any Recognized University. The admission procedure is centralized and is conducted by the Directorate of Higher Education, Government of Maharashtra. The aspiring candidates have to appear in the CET test and undergo the procedure of admission conducted by the Directorate
