About K. J. Somaiya Comprehensive College of Education Training & Research

Accordingly, K.J. Somaiya Comprehensive College of Education, Training and Research was started on 29th August, 1990. The College is affiliated to the University of Bombay and its imparts instructions leading to the B.Ed. degree of University of Bombay. The University has recognised the College as a Minority Institution.

The College is geared specially to provide high quality education in the latest techniques and methodology for curriculum transaction and is poised to develop in to an Institute of Higher Learning and Inter-Disciplinary Research, conducting programmes cutting across various disciplines including Arts, Commerce, Science, Technical Education, Medical Education, Management etc.

It offers facilities like library, internet, laboratories, placements for all the candidates. The eligibilty for undergraduate courses is 10+2 pass and for post graduate courses the elibility is graduation. The admission to most of these courses is done through various entrance tests at different levels and for rest of the courses the admission is done directly

Doctor of Philosophy
Course Detail	The college offers Ph.D course. It's a two to five year degree program
Admission Criteria	Candidate should have passed 55% in M Ed or any other post graduate degree. Selection will be based on as per the university norms.
Post Graduate Diploma in Management (Educational Technology)
Course Detail	The college offers Post Graduate Diploma in Management of Education (PGDME) course. It's a two year degree program.
Course Affilition	University of Mumbai
Admission Criteria	Candidate must have passed the degree of Bachelor of Education (B.Ed) of this University or should be a Graduate in any faculty with three years of teaching and/or administrative experience in any educational institution recognized by the Government.
Certificate Course in Research Methodology
Course Detail	The college offers Certificate Course in Research Methodology course. It's a six month Certificate program.
Admission Criteria	The candidate should have passed 10+2 or equivalent. Selection will be based on as per the university norms.
Bachelor of Education
Course Detail	The college offers Bachelor of Education course. It's a one year degree program.
Course Affilition	University of Mumbai
Admission Criteria	The candidate should have passed graduate in any discipline from a recognized university. Selection will be based on as per the university norms.
