Smt. Chandibai Himathmal Mansukhani College, Ulhasnagar is one of the largest colleges in the university of Mumbai. The foundation stone of the college was laid on by Principal K. M: Kundnani. The Institute caters to the higher education requirements of the Sindhi minority community which relocated itself courageously at Ulhasnagar in the aftermath of the partition trauma. At the same time it ensures that Institute provides quality education to all sections of society.
The College constituted The Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) and the Quality Advisory Committee (QAC) immediately after the accreditation in 2003.The College has three prestigious UGC Centers, the Women’s Studies Centre, the Gandhian Studies Centre and the Remedial Coaching Centre, through which the various outreach programmes take shape. The Association of the College with Ulhasnagar Municipal Corporation, Kaivalayadhama, Lonavala, the American Information Resource Center, Mumbai and Clayton State University (USA) has reaped rich dividends.
