Thakur Institute of Management Studies, Career Development and Research was established in the year 2001 with a clear objective of providing quality technical education in tune with international standards and contemporary global requirements, offering 3 years postgraduate degree of Master of Computer Applications (MCA). The Institute is recognized by the AICTE norms and is affiliated to the University of Mumbai. The Management’s commitment to excellence is reflected in the marvelous infrastructure that is comparable to the finest institution of its type in the country. The sprawling campus with lawns, gardens, playgrounds, parking area, hostel accommodation and temple ensures a right academic ambience essential for a center of higher education. Placement

TIMSCDR prepares its students to step into the corporate world. Training programmes are conducted for the students from the 1st year itself to assist them in their preparation for transition from campus to corporate. These programmes consist of preparation for campus recruitment drives like Aptitude Tests, Group Discussions, Interviews etc. as well as Soft Skill Training which helps the students groom their personality for their corporate career. The Institute has a dedicated placement cell that looks after Training and Placements. Interactions are conducted with leading software professionals to keep students abreast of the latest happenings in the industry. This assists them during their stint as Project Trainee in Semester VI and during the campus recruitment drive. The placement process normally commences in the month of February.
